You may be lucky to see or hear foxes, woodpeckers, finches, blue jays, nuthatches, owls, buzzards, deer, our own dear hens… two rescues and two bantams, (North) Carolina, Anna (Purna), Florence and (Ros) Kilde. The robins are very friendly too!

Cycling
Cycle hire available on the quay. Cycle along the river. There are two pubs along the way with the usual pub food. Electric cycles available around Exeter.
There are some ‘mountain biking’ routes around Haldon Hill. Cycling on Dartmoor is also popular.

Walking
There are plenty of local walks, including the famous Steps Bridge (daffodils and bluebells).
Fingle Glen, near the NT Castle Drogo, is beautiful with several walks.
Tor hopping on Dartmoor … ask us for our favourite walks. Bring your walking and safety gear!
Exeter Quay … walk down the river towards the estuary.
